On Remembrance Day, the notion of Lest We Forget is focussed on wars of the past, and those we have lost to conflict. But for Amnesty International, who are celebrating fifty years of fighting for human rights, the focus is on wars still being fought around the world, and the people fleeing those wars.

To mark their birthday, Amnesty, along with the Hawke Centre, invited renowned human rights activist, Julian Burnside QC, to deliver a key note address in Adelaide last night. Catherine Zengerer was there, and caught up with Julian after the event, to find out what he thinks we need to remember in the current asylum seeker debate.
