James Hardie’s ex-directors have today been found guilty of supplying the Australian Stock Exchange with false statements in March 2001. The statement regarded the funding of the Asbestos Compensation Fund and greatly understated the amount of money available to victims of James Hardie’s asbestos products. Barrie Robson from the Asbestos Disease Foundation of Australia was pleased that the ex-directors have been finally found guilty.
