Primary School Principals have come out in support of the Government’s $16 billion school building program saying claims that the initiative is a waste of money are untrue. Deputy Prime Minister Julia Gillard announced yesterday that a taskforce will be set up to look into all complaints amid allegations of cost blowouts and profiteering. But the Australian Primary Schools Association say the media coverage has been unbalanced and only a small fraction of schools have experienced problems with the project. They are calling the initiative a savior for schools that have been long neglected.
