A nationwide review of drug and alcohol programs in Indigenous communities has revealed significant gaps in funding and service delivery. The report, released today, was a joint initiative between the National Indigenous Drug and Alcohol Committee, and the Australian National Council on Drugs. The authors say that in order to address the significant problems within Indigenous communities, the Government needs to invest more in metropolitan areas and in programs run by Indigenous people.
