Is the Coalition’s technology roadmap worth the climate summit snub?


The Prime Minister has been under fire this week because Australia hasn’t been invited to speak at an international climate conference.

As the name suggests, the United Nations’ ‘Climate Ambition Summit’ on Saturday is only granting speaking spots to countries that are putting forward bold climate solutions.

Earlier this year the government announced its ‘Technology Investment Roadmap’.

It’s indicated Australia will primarily rely on technological innovation to drive climate solutions.

But what are these technologies? And will they actually reduce emissions?
