HIV / AIDS in Asia – What’s being done?
In the past couple of years SARS and Bird Flu have been big news – but killer diseases like Aids and Malaria are hurting many more people in Asia. This week Australia pledged 20 million US dollars to the Global Fund to Fight Aids, Tuberculosis and Malaria. Jay Lamey talked to Federal Foreign Secretary Chris Gallus about Australia’s overseas AIDS program and we hear from photographer Lorrie Graham about her time photographing AIDS victims in Asia.
