As restrictions loosen in the city, rules tighten in the regions

Today marks Freedom Day for fully vaccinated NSW citizens and the easing of some of the Covid-19 restrictions. For those unvaccinated in regional areas, it means rules have tightened with those in some LGAs previously able to visit pubs and restaurants now not allowed entry. Double vaccination rates remain well below the state’s average in many parts of the regions. Regional businesses have welcomed the lifting of regulations however there are concerns that once travel opens up to the regions it could put additional pressure on the region’s health systems.
