The Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency (EOWA) released their census on women leadership, and found some concerning statistics about the executive positions women hold in Australia. The census has found less than 1 in 10 executive management positions in Australia are taken by women. Western Australia was the worst state followed closely by Queensland with 5.9% of women in executive management positions within the largest 500 companies in Australia.

These results were discussed at a business breakfast meeting where businesspeople support the fact the number of women in executive positions should increase.
