Much of the cost of the Iraq war is being measured by the number of dead soldiers and civilians. But the hardship of day to day life for thousands of Iraqis, living in demolished cities without electricity and running water, is a cost that can’t be measured. Australian aid worker Donna Mulhearn has just come back from six months in Iraq. She spoke to Andrew Liberts about the devastation she’d witnessed first-hand, and explained how she’d been shot at by American snipers.
