Lobby group Exit International made a pro-euthanasia ad that was going to be played on Channel Seven last night, but after giving it the all clear, Free TV Australia later cancelled it. They say they won’t air the ad because it breaches the Commercial Television Industry Code of Practice which warns against “Realistic depiction of methods of suicide, or promotion or encouragement of suicide”. In the ad, a man who looks unwell sits on a bed and considers the decisions he made throughout his life and his decision to end his life.
