Greens leader Bob Brown has accused News Limited newspaper The Australian of trying to wreck the alliance between The Greens and Labor. More than one in ten people voted green in the election, but it doesn’t seem like The Greens will be getting a lot of favourable coverage in one of Australia’s biggest selling broadsheets. Major broadsheets have always backed one or other candidate before an election, but the strident language in The Australian’s editorial has caused a few raised eyebrows among media commentators. A short time ago I asked Bob Brown for his response.
