Coming out as part of the LGBTIQ+ community can be tough in regional Australia, with additional challenges of limited support services, and less accepting community attitudes.

Counsellor Tracee Ward lives in rural QLD and came out as gay to her family at the age of 49, she recently shared her story at the Women of the World Festival in Biloela and spoke to The Wire’s Eduardo Jordan about her experience.
