We’ve been bombarded with warnings about the dangers of consuming trans fats in the last year. And now it seems the ball is officially rolling on Australian efforts to reduce trans fats in the food industry. An Australia New Zealand Collaboration on Transfats is undertaking a scientific review of trans fats. The conclusion: that Australians are consuming less transfats than many other countries. Experts say this is because the food industry has been conscious of using healthier fats.
