Asylum seekers say that they have gathered 300 signatures confirming that they are on hunger strike. Some detainees say they would rather die than stay in the offshore detention centre, Nauru. This news comes after Australian Medical Association President, Dr Steve Hambleton said that that the government has delayed legislation to set up an independent health advisory panel to oversee asylum seekers health in offshore centres.
