Arab Nations Reject War Crime Charges against Sudanese President

Arab nations have declared their strong support for indicted Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir. The International Criminal Court, also known as the ICC, is charging al-Bashir with war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide. At an Arab Summit in Qatar, al-Bashir urged leaders to stand in solidarity with him and reject the charges, accusing the United Nations Security Council of applying double standards. An arrest warrant was issued in March this year by the ICC.
