Channel surfing is going to see a massive tidal wave come 2013, when digital will be the only way you can watch the box. A Sydney conference, Get Ready for Digital TV, is being held in Sydney over Monday and Tuesday this week. But while Federal Communications Minister, Steven Conroy is busy talking up this monumental transition, community TV is in serious danger of extinction. The six community networks have to wait for the outcome of the May budget before they will know if they can afford to make the switch to digital.
