ACLU phone app: Australian law experts debate merit

The American Council of Civil Liberties late last week released an app designed to record police brutality. The app allows footage taken to be streamed directly to the the civil rights group and is deleted it once it is sent. They say the app protects both the footage and the viewer from police retaliation. This has prompted discussion among Australian law experts and civil rights advocates who are unsure whether it should be applied in Australia. Bernard Thompson has this report.
