There’s a lot of NGO’s that seem to lobby the government, rallying in the war for the lost cause. But there’s one group that’s actively getting out there, taking part in battles to save the whales. The Sea Shepherd society is currently preparing to set out from Australian shores to conduct an intervention with Japanese whalers that left for Antartica earlier in the week. Paul Watson and Johnny Vassicks are leading members of the Sea Shepherd Society and will be heading out on the boat set to take on the Japanese whaling fleet. They explained what they were doing, and why actively defending the rights of whales was so important.
