1200 dead and millions displaced in South Asia floods

India, Bangladesh and Nepal have seen some of the worst flooding in history over the past week, affecting 40 million people. Many of those affected come from impoverished communities, and face an uphill battle to avoid disease and rebuild their lives.

The Wire’s Rachel McDonald spoke to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and Caritas about their aid efforts.
