According to studies by the Global Carbon Project, two-thirds of the current methane levels are a direct result of human activity.

The ‘Global Methane Budget 2024’, undertaken by the GCP, has revealed the number of man-made factors that contribute to increased methane levels and climate change.

Dr Pep Canadell, Executive Director of the Global Carbon Project and Chief Research Scientist at CSIRO, explains the significance of the findings.
