Uluru owners – we’ll celebrate when have true joint management

Traditional owners the Anangu people are celebrating 30 years since they won native title rights to Uluru and the surrounding Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Traditional owners leased the land back to the Commonwealth government but are now pushing for joint management of the the park in a sub lease arrangement. Minister for Indigenous Affairs Nigel Scullion says negotiations are progressing but traditional owners say until the park is jointly managed they won’t be fully celebrating.
