Youth homelessness and family violence worse than previously thought

New research by New South Wales’ peak body for youth homelessness, YFoundations, shows around half of the young people assisted by homelessness service providers as having experienced domestic and family violence. This contradicts previous nationwide statistics, which claim the figure is closer to 33%. The team behind the new research hope it will bring about change, particularly in light of Youth Homelessness Matters Day.
