PFAS toxic chemical exposure worries workers

Reports obtained from the Federal Government under freedom of information laws reveal that aviation firefighters all across Australia have up to 20 times the safe level of toxic PFAS chemicals in their blood. That is according to results of blood testing carried out by Aviation Australia back in 2013.
Due to a lack of education of the risks, an exposure to the chemicals has resulted in high levels of distress among affected workers and their families.
