Raymond Island’s koala population is posing problems for the local community. An overpopulation of koalas in the area has resulted in a lack of habitat and food source, leaving many of Australia’s iconic marsupials hungry and distressed.

Australian university fellows say the crisis is multi-layered and complex and urgently needs to be addressed.
