World Youth Day is coming to Sydney in two weeks time, and the hype surrounding the event is growing daily. Several groups are planning protests against the Pope’s visit, including those opposed to the church’s stance on contraception. But any effort to hand out condoms to people at the event could be thwarted by new powers given to the police, fire brigade and emergency services.
