Former Guantanamo bay inmates David Hicks and Mamdouh Habib are back in the headlines, after the latest release of more than 700 secret US documents by Wikileaks over the weekend. The documents revealed that Mamdouh Habib confessed to being involved in a plan to hijack a Qantas plane, and training the 9/11 hijackers in martial arts – claims Mr Habib now says were untrue and obtained under torture.
