Unions are continuing their pressure on the Rudd Government to repeal the coalition’s WorkChoices legislation. Today it was the Textile, Clothing and Footwear Union’s turn. They claim that WorkChoices impacts low paid women the most, and have launched a new booklet today: Why women need new IR laws. Industrial Relations Minister Julia Gillard is expected to release the new legislation in a couple of weeks, and the unions are making a last ditch attempt to have their voices heard.
