When the naval ships USS Peleliu and USS Halsey docked in Sydney Harbour on Friday, they delivered around 3,000 marines and naval officers to the streets of Sydney. Over the week-end a sex worker reported that one of the marines had raped her. With such a big influx of men, the industry may have received a boost- but what sorts of protections are there for sex workers on our streets?
