In the early and mid nineteen hundreds, many Indigenous people had their wages withheld by employers and the government, which is now known as a period of ‘stolen wages’. The Western Australian Government has announced compensation payments, but many are saying it’s not enough. The Wire spoke to solicitor Laura Brown about the proposed scheme.
