She is best known for her role as Cody Willis on the television soap Neighbours, but in addition to her acting career, Peta Brady works as a drug and safety outreach worker in Melbourne.
Her experiences on the street, and contact with local sex workers has sparked the creation of a new stage work: Ugly Mugs. The confronting play explores a culture of abuse and violence towards women.Ugly Mugs begins previews at the Griffin Theatre Company on July 18.
