The conflict between Israel and Gaza has killed more than 430 people, according to the United Nations – most of whom were Palestinian civilians. On the other side of the border, Israel’s Iron Dome defence system has been working with unprecedented success, destroying about 95 percent of the rockets launched from Gaza. Protests across the world have called on Israel to stop the bombings, including one in Sydney yesterday. Last week, The Wire spoke with 16-year old Farah Bakar from Gaza, who continues to report on the relentless stream of bombs exploding around her family home.
