A Victorian task force will speak to every Aboriginal youth in the state’s juvenile centres to create law reform.

Fifty-three per cent of all young people in detention on an average night in the June quarter last year were Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.

The task force will be speaking to over 250 Aboriginal youths over 18 months as well as community organisations and people in the justice system.
