The vaccination rates of Aged Care workers by geographical area have been made public by the Department of Health with the aim of increasing transparency on the sector’s vaccine rollout. The data highlights the significant disparities in the rollout of vaccines to aged care workers by region including staff vaccination rates revealing Blacktown aged care homes had between 80-90% of staff vaccinated while other areas such as Dubbo were far behind with between 60%-69% of staff vaccinated.

As the amended deadline of September 17 approaches, over forty percent of aged care workers are yet to receive their first jab.
