Licences to explore minerals in the Northern Territory are currently at 1,200. The problem with these lic ences, say concerned residents, is that they don’t say what they’re looking for. And with the Northern Territory rich in uranium deposits, many are worried that the exploration will lead to new mines in their back yard.
