Iran accused of defying nuclear weapons inspectors

Fresh concerns about Iran’s Nuclear weapons capability have been raised by the International Atomic Energy Agency. In its latest report presented to the United Nations, the IAEA says Iran is withholding information about its research into nuclear weapons. Iran denies the allegations and says it’s nuclear program is entirely peaceful. In 2006 the UN imposed sanctions on Iran for failure to halt uranium enrichment, but with little effect. As the international community faces a diplomatic stalemate Susannah Palk investigates.
