There were high hopes for the international climate change talks in Copenhagen back in 2009. But hopes were dashed when it failed to come up with a legally binding treaty. Now a new set of talks is set to take place in Durban, Africa, in just over a week’s time.

 

Pre-conference negotiations have just taken place in Panama, which head of the UN climate change committee, Christiana Figueres, described as ‘making good progress.’ But does this mean we will finally come up with a replacement to the Kyoto Protocol?
