Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has implored all Australians in South Korea, Japan and China to register with the Government’s Smart Traveller website so they can stay updated with current security threats in the area.

The comments come amid rising tensions between the United States and North Korea, and following a sixth nuclear test from the the North Korean regime in recent weeks.

North Korean expert and University of Technology Sydney professor Dr Bronwen Dalton believes the threat of war is real, but an evacuation of Australians is highly unlikely.
