Treasurers debate debt and deficit, ignore financial reforms

The treasurer Wayne Swan and his opposition counterpart Joe Hockey went head to head in a debt and deficit slanging match at the national press club today. But while Swan and Hockey continue to slug it out over economic stimulus and government deficits, some economic commentators are saying that real reforms to guard against future economic crises have dropped off the agenda.
