Calls for more Indigenous voices in federal politics

Labor, the Liberal Party and the Greens are all running Indigenous candidates in this election, but it’s unlikely any of them will win. There’s just one running for a marginal seat – the Coalition’s Ken Wyatt for Hasluck in WA. If he wins he’ll be the only Indigenous person in federal parliament and the third in Australia’s history. As the election draws closer, there are calls for things to change.
