As the Catholic Church mused on updating its seven deadly sins, including the sin of pedophilia, a Sydney Court convicted Marist Brother Ross Francis Murrin for molesting students at a Sydney School. The Catholic Church has come under fire in recent years, accused of suppressing allegations of sexual abuse within the Church and protecting its members from criminal proceedings. A Vatican spokesperson has just issued an updated list of sins designed to make the church more modern and relevant. But is the Church being hypocritical by including pedophilia as a modern day sin, given its track record?
