Up for debate in the South Australian parliament tonight is a bill to create a new offence: an offence against an unborn child.

Protesters and opposing members of parliament say the bill is a mistake and question its hasty introduction. They say giving legal rights to the unborn, dubbed foetal personhood, could pave the way to anti-abortion legislation.
