The election 2013 campaign trail has been criticised by welfare advocates as lacking a social conscience. Last night’s great debate between Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and Opposition leader, Tony Abbott, was supposed to canvass all the issues that matter. But there was no specific mention of their social affairs policy.
Australian Council of Social Service CEO, Dr Cassandra Goldie, joins other social affairs experts to discuss why welfare issues should be top of any future Prime Minister’s political agenda.
