The regional community of Mount Gambier in South Australia’s South-East banded together today, making the five-hundred kilometre trip into Adelaide to save their forest industry. It’s responsible for 40% of their local economy, and they fear the Treasurer Kevin Foley’s decision to privatise the industry will mean the death of their town. And they brought their trucks and the wood harvest down with them.
