Some women flee dangerous situations overseas only to face more challenges in their new countries. Women and children make up nearly eighty percent of the world’s refugees. In many ways, women refugees are more vulnerable than men and they’re more likely to struggle with settling into Australian culture. The negative impact on their physical and mental health is also felt by their families.
