While there may still be some distance to go before equality is achieved in Australia… some of our nearest neighbours are much further behind when it comes to the empowerment of women. Dr Julia Newton-Howes is the CEO of Care Australia, a non government aid organization. She recently traveled to Papua New Guinea, and says that 100 years of feminism disappeared when she stepped off the plane.
