South Australian based steel and mining company Arrium looks to be in trouble.

A announcement this morning that the company has entered in voluntary administration has left nearly 7000 jobs across Australia in question. More than 1000 of these jobs are concentrated at a steel plant in the South Australian Town of Whyalla.

The Australian Workers’ Union says it’s too early to confirm job losses but members of the Whyalla community feel they are in a precarious position.
