Last night the Quantiferon test saw its developers awarded the ATSE 2013 Clunies Ross Award for Australia’s top innovators. Almost thirty years in the making with renowned success around the globe – the Gold Standard Test confirms whether someone has Tuberculosis. However, if the award winning team of doctors had been researching today under the current science funding suggested by the Budget, they say the test would not exist.
