Today, The Wire presents a response to critics of the Federal government’s intervention strategy. Dr Sue Gordon is the Chairperson of the Prime Minister’s Taskforce for the emergency Northern Territory intervention. She strongly refutes claims that the policy is racist, and says it’s already having a positive impact on remote Indigenous communities in the Top End, who are finally receiving services that other Australians have long taken for granted.
