Students at Adelaide University have launched a campaign to force the university authorities to rename Taib Mahmud Court. Mr Taib who was a former Adelaide Uni student is now Prime Minister of Sarawak where human rights activists say he has authorised the destruction of hundreds of thousands of hectares of rainforest.

Adelaide University has said that contractual arrangements mean they cannot rename the area. Swiss and Malaysian authorities are currently investigating Mr Taib for corruption.
