Sometimes art can break down barriers to understanding that the media can’t.

Manus, a performance brought to Australia during the Adelaide Festival by Verbatim Theatre Group,  sought to do just that.

It told the real stories of asylum seekers sourced from interviews with people who had returned to Iran or remained on Manus Island and Nauru.
